PATATI PATATA evokes endless chatter or a string of words whose meaning escapes us. Starting from language, accessibility, and untranslatability, they detach themselves from signifying elements to invent other imaginaries — neither fully abstract nor fully figurative — lost somewhere within semantics. They manipulate modes of communication through a "materiology-organicity" and explore the possible assemblages of multiple corporealities. By focusing their attention on "things" made invisible, they give voice to what is hidden or misunderstood.
Like mashed potatoes, they crush, mix, and blend together in turn, passing the hot potato from one to another. Against the pursuit of unity, and through the notion of embodiment, they seek — within collage — contradiction, error, and glitch, to reveal the layers and thicknesses embedded within.
The potatoes sprout, graft onto one another, then transform together; they grow, spread, expand, and fall — and patati patata: potatoes everywhere, like a network of words.
